Polly: Crystal and I became friends while working for another company. She had experience at the local liquor store and noticed a gap in the market for non-alcoholic options and mixers.

Crystal: I worked at the liquor store in Old Town Park City for six months. Customers would often ask where they could find mixers, bitters, and syrups after buying spirits or wine. We had to send them a mile down the road to the grocery store. That’s when the idea started to take root — why not create a one-stop shop?

Why are mocktails gaining popularity?

Polly: Mocktails are part of a growing trend, especially in health-conscious communities like Park City. Alcohol-free options help people feel included, whether they’re sober by choice, for health reasons, or due to lifestyle. Our products are designed to look and feel like traditional beverages — you wouldn’t know the champagne is alcohol-free just by looking at the bottle.

Crystal: We wanted to offer a wide variety of options for people living a sober lifestyle, whether for religious, health, or personal reasons. What sets us apart is flavor. We carry products crafted by wine connoisseurs — people who know how to replicate the taste of wine without the alcohol. It’s not just grape juice in a fancy bottle.

How did you bring your vision to life?

Crystal: Our goal was to create a storefront that caters to both drinkers and non-drinkers — a place where you can find everything for a party: beverages, mixers, snacks, and even games. We found a location just 500 feet from the liquor store and close to public transportation, making it super accessible.

We stock low-sugar, real-ingredient mixers and mocktails from brands like Collins, Jordan’s Skinny Mixes, and Crafted Cocktails. Crafted Cocktails offers unique pairings like pineapple and jalapeño, which can be mixed with spirits or, for an alcohol-free experience, sparkling water.

We also carry award-winning non-alcoholic wines like Italy’s Prima Pave, along with canned beverages and single-serve packets for easy mocktail mixing. Our snack selection ranges from sweet treats like marshmallows to savory bites like cheeseballs.

Polly: We’ve leaned into the social side of entertaining with games, trivia, and karaoke. The shop has a fun, colorful vibe with an old-timey flare. We sell party enhancers like reusable ice cubes shaped like cats or golf balls, whiskey stones, and even cotton-candy glitter to jazz up your drink.

What guidance would you give aspiring entrepreneurs and small businesses?

Crystal: Do your homework. Before approaching a bank or landlord, make sure you can clearly explain your vision, products, and goals. Preparation helps others understand your passion and gets them excited to support you. We’ve been lucky to work with an amazing landlord and bank manager.
